Benvenuto in Italia!
Though I know some basic Italian vocabulary it’s at (or probably well below) the level of the average 18-month-old. “Dog” (point). “Girl” (point). “Tomato” (point). “Eyebrow” (don’t ask). Heaven only knows how I’ve come to know the Italian for eyebrow. There could be a few laughs along the way here!
For now, though, I’m focusing on – shall we say – cultural orientation. And what better way to start than by spending a weekend as part of an Italian family? Thanks to Churchill, I’m on my way…
